Share Good with Suhr & Lichty Insurance
As independent insurance agents, we do more than just live in your community – we help support it. We do this in part through our Share the Good client referral program.
Tell friends and family about your good experience with Suhr & Lichty Insurance, and we pledge to pay it forward. Here’s how it works:
Step 1. Your friend or family member calls, texts, or emails us and says you referred them. We provide a complimentary insurance review. That’s it!
Step 2. We make a $25 donation to our Charity of the Quarter – no strings attached. This year, we’re partnering with:
These charities serve the greater Seward, Nebraska community. We’re personally involved with all of them. Learn more about how we support each organization below.
Step 3. We mail you a handwritten thank you card and a $2 bill so you can share a unique bit of good with someone else. This can be as simple as hiding the $2 bill in a library book or giving it to a child. Tell us how you share good in your community using the hashtag #SuhrLichtySharesGood.
2019 Charities of the Quarter
As part of our commitment to share good, we make a $25 donation to our Charity of the Quarter for every referral you send to our office.
The Suhr & Lichty Team supporting the Adopt a Post movement in Seward.
Quarter 1: Habitat for Humanity
Seward County Habitat for Humanity builds safe, simple, decent, and affordable houses in partnership with very-low income families who are unable to escape substandard housing by conventional means. Houses are built with donated funds and volunteer labor and are sold to partner families with no profit added and financed with affordable loans.
In 2015, Seward County Habitat for Humanity completed their 17th home. Homes are built with donor contributions, volunteer labor, and donated materials. These houses are modest and affordable. Families who partner with SCHFH are required to complete a minimum of 300 hours of Sweat Equity by helping on the build site and by attending homeownership workshops.
Quarter 2: Blue River Pet Rescue
Most of our team members are pet parents, so we know how important dogs and cats are to the family. That’s why we’re proud to support the Blue River Pet Rescue.
Blue River Pet Rescue exists to achieve the overall goal of being able to provide Seward and surrounding counties with care and shelter for pet animals that no longer have homes.
They believe that all animals have basic needs that should be met. Two important needs are food and shelter from the elements. A third need we believe to be important for these pet animals is companionship.
Quarter 3: Seward County 4-H Foundation
4‑H is delivered by Cooperative Extension—a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation that provides experiences where young people learn by doing. Kids complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and citizenship, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Kids experience 4‑H in every county and parish in the country—through in-school and after-school programs, school and community clubs and 4‑H camps.
4-H empowers young people to be true leaders by using a hands-on approach to learning. 4-H helps give young people the tools and encouragement to develop into great leaders. We love supporting our local community and look forward to helping our future children develop into leaders.
Quarter 4: Heartfelt Incorporated
Heartfelt’s mission is to provide a circle of support and hope as we celebrate and remember the lives of our children. We accomplish this through Heartfelt Connections, our support group, and the Heartfelt Children’s Memorial.
We are honored to help support Heartfelt Inc. Heartfelt is a wonderful organization that helps members of our community through extremely trying times. This cause is close to our office as we have experienced similar loss.
